Sure, tap water is readily available in the U.S. for little or no cost. But one can’t brag about drinking from the tap, can one? If your water is imported from Greenland, where it was harvested from a glacier that’s remained frozen, untouched, and pure for thousands of years, however, you’ve got a terrific way to show off and get refreshed in the same gulp. A company called Glace Rare Iceberg Water began offering such water for $10 a bottle, as have brands such as BERG (a case of 12 for $140) and Iluliaq ($50 per bottle). The priciest water of all, though, is the appropriately named Bling H20, which offers a $2,600 bottle covered in Swarovski Crystals. If that’s not absurd enough, there’s the revelation that the water inside doesn’t come from Greenland, the Arctic, or anywhere else exotic, but instead originates in Tennessee.
