While the company’s calling card is its infographics, it does more than just make pretty pictures. Most graphics are collaborations between project managers – many of them former journalists – and designers who regularly brainstorm and pitch ideas germane to their clients.
“Our approach is to find an editorial angle and display it in an interesting way,” says Ross Crooks, 30, who co-founded the company in 2009 with Jason Lankow, 31, and Josh Ritchie, 30. “Most companies aren’t lacking for data; they just don’t always know what to do with it.”
The graphic shown here, created for the social media marketing platform Flowtown, is called “The Evolution of the Geek” and has more than 25,000 Facebook “likes” and 16,000 tweets on Twitter.
