The vast majority of motorcycle owners are men, and the vast majority of them wouldn’t be caught dead on a lightweight “girl bike.” But female ridership on motorcycles has grown by 45% in recent years, reports the Los Angeles Times, and women are responsible for increased sales of a certain breed of bike—specifically, affordable (under $4,000) and light (under 300 lbs.). While most motorcycles aren’t marketed specifically to women, a few are obviously intended for female riders. It doesn’t get more girly than the California Scooter’s “Babydoll” model, a pink 240-pound bike that maxes out at 65 mph and retails for $3,695.
