We’ve pointed out before that the CDC pans homeopathic flu remedies, saying there’s “no scientific evidence” that they do anything other than empty your wallet faster. Now, scientists are saying the same thing about several common vitamins and minerals people take in supplement form. They don’t work; what’s more, researchers found an increased risk of death among some groups of pill-poppers.
