After donating 18 million Facebook shares valued at just over $970 million, social networking pioneer Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, have been named the “most generous American philanthropists in 2013,” according to AP.
Zuckerberg and Chan were bestowed the title by the Chronicle of Philanthropy, which released their annual list of the 50 most generous Americans on Monday.
