As the Thanksgiving break approaches, U.S. stocks rose Thursday with the Dow Jones Industrial Average posting another record finish thanks to better-than expected housing reports. The housing numbers today were positive indicators for construction employment and home sales in 2014, according to experts interviewed by CNBC.
The Dow beat its record close yesterday, led by Walt Disney. And one day after clearing 4,000 for the first time since the year 2000, the Nasdaq continued to climb, riding 23.18 points to 4,017.75, despite the Conference Board’s consumer confidence index coming in at 70.4 in November (below a 72.9 expectation).
