There are so many places where you can buy second-hand video games and DVDs of movies or TV shows that, unless you’re after the latest releases, it rarely make sense to buy them brand-new. In addition to movie and gaming retailers, sites like Amazon.com and Half.com sell used movies and games. Wal-Mart also has a “pre-owned” category for video games on its website. On the flip side, if your kid has beaten the game or outgrown the show, you can go back to the site and re-sell it to make a few bucks back.
