Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was plucked from his cruise ship and flown back to the U.S. over a kidney stone attack.
The Washington Post owner was rescued by an Ecuadorian Navy helicopter from the Galápagos and taken to his private jet on Baltra Island on New Year’s Day, according to local newspapers. No surgery was required and he’s feeling well, according to Amazon’s vice president of public relations Drew Herder.
When asked for a comment, Bezos replied by email, “Galápagos: five stars. Kidney stones: zero stars.”
