Photo-sharing app Snapchat is taking Silicon Valley by storm, raising an additional $50 million in venture capital funding, according to a Securities Exchange Commission document filed Wednesday.
No information was released on Snapchat’s new valuation or who made the investent, but the new equity means the company has raised more than $120 million altogether, Fortune reports.
Snapchat first raised $80 million over the summer – including $20 million provided by co-founders Evan Speigel and Bobby Murphy – before rejecting a $3 billion bid made by Facebook earlier this year.
The new cash falls short of the $200 million in funding Snapchat was reportedly seeking.
