Breakfast is a meal that experts say you shouldn’t skip — unless it makes you bolt for the bathroom, that is. In 2010, Kellogg recalled more than 28 million boxes of Apple Jacks, Corn Pops, Froot Loops and Honey Smacks after customers complained the cereals caused nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. The company blamed the plastic bags inside the cereal boxes for giving off an “uncharacteristic off-flavor and smell,” which it said was the reason behind diners’ stomach-churning mornings.
