Talk about unsupportive: Just a month after releasing its “Deep Plunge Clearly Daring” Wonderbra model in the U.K. in 2004, manufacturer Playtex recalled the product because the clear plastic strap that connected the cups had a tendency to suddenly snap, causing the undergarment to suddenly fly open. The company released a statement announcing it was recalling the bras as a “precautionary measure.” How many of the bras had failed? “Less than a handful,” according to the statement.
