Known for building everyday cars and trucks, Ford is taking aim at the luxury market by reviving its Lincoln brand with vehicles such as the new MKC, a compact crossover vehicle that borrows elements from both sport utility vehicles and conventional passenger cars. From the side, the MKC looks like an SUV but from the front like a passenger car, with a contemporary emphasis on distinctive lines and a rear lift-gate equipped with a light bar stretching across the back of the vehicle. The interior of the MKC, which is considered an incubator for future models, includes luxury features and materials and new technology, including a push-button transmission, programmable ride control, and personalized lighting. Estimated price is $35,000 to $40,000.
