Over the next few days, you’ll be able to grab a coffee, visit a museum, enjoy lunch out at a restaurant, rent some DVDs, and even throw back a bottle of beer for free. You’ll also be able to avoid paying fees while using an ATM to get cash—not like you’ll need it.

Here’s a roundup of special freebies and promotions, available now and down the line:

Free Museums. In what’s become an annual event, Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day takes place on Saturday, September 29. On this day, thousands of museums around the country grant free admissions. Tickets, which give free entrance to two people, must be requested at the link above, and printed out in advance.

Free Lunch. “Like” the Macaroni Grill on Facebook and you’ll get a coupon for a free lunch combination, valid on Friday, September 28 only.

Free Coffee. Complimentary coffee has been available all week at participating McDonald’s, and Krispy Kreme is handing out free coffee on Saturday, September 29. All in honor of National Coffee Day. Coffee is free at 7-Eleven stores, meanwhile, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday, September 28—which the convenience store chain has christened “Coffree Day.”

Free ATMs. After first introducing the concept last fall, a company called Free ATM Inc. is bringing no-fee ATMs to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center starting this Friday, when the new arena that’ll be the home of the Nets opens with a string of Jay-Z concerts. There will be seven ATMs at the facility, including one available to the public without requiring a ticket to get inside, and none will charge the typical $2 or $3 fee for retrieving cash from an unaffiliated machine. Instead of charging users fees, the machines make money by showing ads lasting 15 or 20 seconds whenever a transaction occurs. The company hopes to one day run ATMs like this around the country.

Free Redbox Rentals. It’s still unclear what’s to become of the partnership between Redbox and Verizon. For now at least, they’re being used to promote each other. One current example: Consumers who answer some questions about Verizon FiOS can get six one-night DVD rentals from Redbox. There’s no obligation to buy. Unfortunately, you’re only eligible for the freebies in areas served by FiOS.

Free Kids Haircuts. After running a free haircut special over the summer for back-to-school season, JCPenney has announced that starting in November, it will offer free haircuts for children every Sunday, indefinitely. The deal begins Sunday, November 4.

Free Beer! Yes, we saved the best for last. But before getting too excited about the prospect of free suds, take note that this highly unusual promotion offering complimentary beer is only available in Philadelphia. At least it’s all over Philadelphia, though. The Pennsylvania brewer Yuengling, which is now recognized as the largest American-owned beer company, is hosting a “Philly Lager Toast” on Friday, September 28. Customers at more than 250 Philly-area bars will receive a bottle of Yuengling on the house—or rather, on the brewery. Click on the link above for the list of participating bars.
