The offensive character in the national flower chain’s 2009 Super Bowl ad isn’t even human. A bouquet of limp, withered blooms — taken from a box by a thrilled woman in front of all her co-workers — blasts her with insults, calling her looks “a train wreck” and deriding her as a loveless cat lady. “No one wants to see you naked,” the flowers say. Maybe not the best message for a CGI version of your product to deliver.
