Ford C-Max
Coming this fall, Ford rolls out two models based on the compact five-passenger C-Max it already sells in Europe: the C-Max Hybrid and the plug-in C-Max Energi. While plug-ins have been largely deemed impractical and unpopular with American consumers thus far, GQ was impressed enough with the two C-Max models to include both on its recent “Best New American Cars” list. Ford has especially big expectations for the Hybrid model, which it’s referred to as “the Prius fighter.”
