Adapted from the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, the Dodge Dart, due to go on sale in the U.S. later this year, promises power, efficiency, and style, as well as an MSRP expected to start under $16,000. Chrysler, which has experienced phenomenal sales growth over the last several months, hopes that the Dart develops a much-better reputation than the vehicle it is replacing, the Dodge Caliber, which Chrysler and Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne described last year as “an abomination.” The Dart has been called Dodge’s “first viable compact sedan since the Neon.”
