Next Wednesday marks the launch of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The annual meeting of the most powerful men and women in business, government and the non-profit world will focus on the theme “The Great Transformation: Shaping New Models.” Much has transpired since last January’s meeting, from the European debt crisis to the Arab Spring, and surely the world’s dignitaries won’t lack for interesting and important topics to discuss.

Time’s International Editor, Jim Frederick, will host a forum on the future of capitalism featuring Brian Moynihan, CEO of Bank of America and David Rubenstein, co-founder of the private equity firm CarlyleGroup, among others. European Central Bank President Mario Draghi will address a plenary session on Europe’s economic outlook. Many of European heads of state, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel and British Prime Minister David Cameron, will be in attendance, so you can add Davos to the long list of summits that Europe watchers across the globe will pay close attention to.
