“I think most people in Las Vegas would take offense at having Wall Street compared to Las Vegas. Because in Las Vegas, actually people know that the odds are against them. They play anyway. On Wall Street, they manipulate the odds while you’re playing the game. And I would say that it’s actually much more dishonest.”

From Maureen Dowd’s column in the NY Times about the government’s grilling of Goldman Sachs, which Dowd compares to Congressional investigations of the Corleone gang in “Godfather II.”

It’s pretty clear I love movie quotes, and here’s one that seems appropriate to bring up now from “Godfather II,” spoken by Michael Corleone (Al Pacino):

“We’re both part of the same hypocrisy, senator.”
