Sneaker company Skechers gained the ire of many animal lovers when it debuted this 2012 spot in which a bulldog is able to outrun a pack of elite greyhounds thanks to his red Skechers sneakers. Critics argued that it glamorized dog racing, a sport that can lead to animal abuse. More than 100,000 people signed a petition asking Skechers to pull the commercial, but the company chose to run it during the Super Bowl anyway.
