Unclear if any relation to massive Target security breach

Luxury retailer Neiman Marcus confirmed Saturday that customer’s credit and debit card information may have been compromised, following evidence of hacking in mid-December.

The company did not reveal how many customers had been or would be affected, but said it was in the process of notifying card holders whose accounts may have unauthorized charges, the Associated Press reports.

Target announced in December that it was the victim of a cybersecurity attack over the holiday season, and recently raised its estimates on the number of affected customers from 40 million to 70 million. It is unclear if the two security breaches are related.
