In the ongoing battle between mobile technology titans Samsung and Apple, the California-based company recorded a triumphant victory in its South Korean rival’s backyard this week.

At Seoul Central District Court on Thursday, a judge rebuffed claims that Apple violated three Samsung patents central to its popular smart phones and tablets.

“We are glad the Korean court joined others around the world in standing up for real innovation and rejecting Samsung’s ridiculous claims,” gloated Apple spokesperson Steve Park, reported the Associated Press.

The verdict is the latest of several legal blows handed down to Samsung, which owes Apple $930 million following two earlier cases in the U.S. Samsung is reportedly appealing both verdicts.
