Ron Burgundy owns many leather-bound books, and apparently can pitch a Dodge Durango or two.
Will Ferrell’s Anchorman alter-ego has been stumping for Chrysler, and the 70 ads he made have over seven million hits on YouTube, Bloomberg Businessweek reports. Chrysler has reported an 11 percent increase in vehicle sales since the ads started, with Durango sales up 59 percent.
Best of all, Chrysler didn’t even pay Ferrell to do the ads, since the spots also promote his new movie, Anchorman 2, out Dec. 20, Automotive News reports.
