Ketchup company Heinz’s hiring of a former Burger King CEO in June has left a bad taste for fast-food competitor McDonald’s.

“As a result of recent management changes at Heinz, we have decided to transition our business to other suppliers at this time,” a spokesperson for McDonald’s said in a statement Saturday, reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Heinz ketchup was served mostly in Pittsburgh and Minneapolis McDonald’s markets, so the decision will mostly impact Heinz’s overseas sales.

Sounds like sour grapes from McD!  Too bad their FIRST CONCERN apparently IS NOT the satisfaction of their customers, but rather a poor business move based on what? Childish get even with you reaction?!

This seems like such a petty move.  Does McDonald's really think that there could be sabotage on behalf of a former BK executive?  I'm not excluding it as a possibility, but I'm saying that they really jumped the gun on their unfounded decision - which makes them look really paranoid.

SO WHAT BRAND OF KETCHUP THEY USE AFTER Heinz

Why don't people just boycott McDonald's until they stop selling fat-, sugar- and chemical-laden junk? The company Ray Kroc founded is not living up to his promise of always providing customers with high quality, tasty food.

"Heinz ketchup was served mostly in Pittsburgh and Minneapolis McDonald’s markets, so the decision will mostly impact Heinz’s overseas sales."

The logic here escapes me.

@drreasonable why would anyone do that at all? that is an entirely different market segment. If they think the health eating market is big enough to sustain they would've done something about it. Plus, they've got salad. Crappy salad, but still salad.

@firefly212

What does Obama have to do with it ?

It seems the IQ level of most anti Obama posts is at the level of his predecessor.

@littleredtop Did I miss something or is this on purpose? I always thought Heinz' catchup tasted sorta sweet, like Pepsi, but that that sure ain't gonna tell us who was %HL$* Who and why they let it get so big.

I find your statement unfounded and ignorant considering that the majority of Obama supporters are either young, liberal and/or low income which tend to be undereducated.

@shadowdragon986 @crobert0613 maybe, but the fact still stands that obama is incompetent and out of his depth in his current employment.. he would really help his country the most if he resigned effective immediately
