Comcast to Offer HBO Without That Expensive Bundle of Channels You Don’t Want

Comcast, the largest cable TV and Internet service provider in the U.S., has confirmed it will offer HBO subscriptions independent of the large, traditional packages that include channels like MSNBC and Comedy Central.

The “Internet Plus” option represents the first time a major pay-TV distributor has offered HBO separate from other cable channels, Variety reports. The 12-month offer will increases by $30 in price next year.

The $39.99 or $49.99 package, depending on the market,  includes HBO, including it’s online version HBO Go, basic broadcast channels, video-on-demand, and 25-Mbps broadband Internet service.
