Talk about a new look. Last month, Men’s Wearhouse underwent a very public breakup with 64-year-old founder and spokesman George Zimmer. Abandoning the bearded, grandfatherly Zimmer and his long-time catchphrase, “You’re going to like the way you look. I guarantee it,” is a risky move, if the outpouring of sentiment on social media sites is any indication. But some experts say Zimmer’s ouster could pay off for the brand in terms of creating a hipper, more youthful image. Millennials just don’t go in for suits the way their fathers and grandfathers did, and the traditional corporate uniform doesn’t appeal to the 80% of this generation who think they should be allowed to wear jeans to work all the time.
