Mid-April, long known for its looming annual tax deadline, has in recent years also developed a reputation as a season of giveaways and special deals from coffee shops, restaurants, movie theaters, and more. This year ushers in a return, so to speak, of deals related to Tax Day, some available well before April 17.
Here’s a rundown of 15 deals and freebies launched in honor of Tax Day 2012:
AMC Theatres: Bring in this coupon for a free small popcorn at the movies from April 13 to 15.
Boston Market: Print this coupon and bring it into a Boston Market location for one free individual meal with the purchase of an individual meal and a fountain drink, on April 17 only.

The offer represents a savings of up to $5, and it is good for purchases from April 14 through April 17.

Special tax- and government-related drinks will be available as well, including the Bloody Mary Tax Code, the Uncle Sam, and the Rummy Refund.
Office Depot: Make copies of your 2011 tax returns, and shred up to five pounds of documents free of charge anytime through April 16.
P.F. Chang’s: On April 17, all dine-in and takeout orders are 15% off, beverages and happy hour specials excluded.
Seattle’s Best Coffee: During the “Great American Coffee Refund,” when you like Seattle’s Best Coffee on Facebook, you’ll get a free sample of Level System coffee—enough to brew a 10-cup pot at home.
