One very peeved employee of Whole Foods’ Toronto store labeled the brand a “faux hippy [sp] Wal-mart” in a 2,300-word letter of resignation that went viral last year. He lambasted the company for what he considered abandonment of its principles, griped about the in-store prepared food and called out several employees by name in order to enumerate their faults. When contacted by media gossip site Gawker, the anonymous ex-employee said he didn’t expect his angry missive to go public and lamented his lack of proofreading.
