OK, this quote isn’t from the real Santa. Instead, it’s from one of his helpers—an 84-year-old man who has played Santa for 22 years at New York City’s South Street Seaport, interviewed at NPR’s Planet Money blog.

But this Santa seems as wise and generous as the big fella himself.
