Who Says Being a Cheap Wiseass (or a Wise Cheap-Ass) Doesn’t Pay Off?

Somehow It’s Your Money ranks in at number 2 on this list of the top 52 Frugal Blogs.

Check out Coupon Sherpa’s 52 Frugal Blogs by Popularity, which describes me thusly: “he really knows his stuff and writes like a dream.”

Sounds about right to me. I have three kids under the age of 7, and most of the time while I’m writing I am dreamily half asleep.

Another fun post comes via Coupon Sherpa’s sister site, FreeShipping.org, listing 37 lame label directions. Sample consumer good labels that made me chuckle:

13. Swedish Chainsaw
Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals.

I’m wondering what, exactly, goes on in the woods in Sweden.

15. Sears Hairdryer
Do not use while sleeping.

Haven’t these people ever heard of multitasking?

18. Microwave Oven
Do not use for drying pets.

Damn PETA trying to tell me what to do.

22. Laundry Detergent
Remove clothing before distributing in washing machine.

Also a good move: putting your chainsaw down before doing the laundry.

25. Rum Bottle
Open bottle before drinking.

Then head on up to Sweden with your chainsaw. Clothing optional.

36. Mattress
Do not attempt to swallow.

Even if you’re really, really hungry? And your microwave is too, um, messy to cook anything in?
