Harvard Free for All: Course Notes Free for Anybody, Anywhere

“I’m a big believer that educational resources should be free, or as free as possible, and in a sense I would like to do it not only at Harvard but at every top institution in the world.”

That’s a quote from Andrew Magliozzi, a Harvard grad and the founder of FinalsClub.org, a site that gathers course notes from universities and students alike and makes them available to anyone with an Internet connection. Read more in the Boston Globe.

Who knows? With the possibility of getting a Harvard education (if not an actual degree) for free, maybe in the near future there will be a rise of Internet-taught, “Good Will Hunting” types. Not long ago, as you may recall, Will (Matt Damon) notably said to the smug, pony-tailed Harvard guy:

“You wasted $150,000 on an education you coulda got for $1.50 in late fees at the public library.”
