Kraft Mag & Outrage

Food & Family, a magazine put out by Kraft Foods that features Kraft products and is mailed to 10 million Kraft Food consumers, used to sent out for free. Not anymore. Subscribers are now being asked to fork over $14 a year for what many folks consider little more than a marketing tool to sell Kraft food.

Customers are not happy, as the WSJ reports:

Angry readers have been quick to gripe. “How can you charge for what is nothing more than an advertisement for Kraft products?” a poster called bobter wrote on the magazine’s online message board in August.

A responder called c3clark said: “The whole magazine is an ad for Kraft…I figure that I’m already paying for the magazine by buying Kraft products.” Brina29 commented: “Don’t stick it to the consumers twice — by raising prices and by charging for” the magazine.
