I’m a fan of do-it-yourself projects, from haircuts to repairing necklaces, to changing the oil in your car, and of course all manner of home improvement. But pest extermination? Frankly, I’m a bit intimidated.
Turns out I shouldn’t be, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution. Apparently, even with copious amounts of toxic chemicals involved, exterminating is not all that extreme a DIY project. There are even companies that’ll hold your hand, selling you exactly what you need and providing instructions to take on termites, ants, or other critters. By doing it yourself, you can save a few hundred bucks, perhaps even over $1,000.
