On the road

The Curious Capitalist family will be spending most of the next two weeks driving across the country, left to right. We may post some travel photos, and Barbara will post from time to time. But overall production will slow dramatically. Which seems appropriate for the second half of August.

    Justin,

Saw your lecture at Google and wanted to say that as an Austrian I think the issue is fractional reserve banking. The Fed is the enabler but FRB is where the problem lies. You mentioned that we’ve had these crises before the Fed and I would suggest you look into whether these crises are credit expansion and inflation problems brought about by the inherent fraud of fractional reserve banking. This is the real culprit for our problems as they are by nature unsound. I would also direct you to look at a paper written by the Chicago Fed called Modern Money Mechanics which explains very well how this works. Look beyond the conspiracy theories of the Fed and at the heart of the structure, FRB. Best wishes.

Drive safely, and enjoy your trip. Why did you choose to drive left to right? Something to do with the direction of the Coriolis force?
