Bad blogger

I know, this hasn’t been much of a blog lately. Well, it was last week, because Barbara was on the case. But now she’s on vacation and I haven’t been delivering the goods. My excuse No. 1 is that preparing to launch a book publicity campaign turns out to be incredibly time-consuming work. This probably isn’t a very convincing excuse, given that the publicity hasn’t started happening yet. (Although I did this video for publishing blog GalleyCat; that ‘s something, right?) Excuse No. 2 is that I’ve been doing a fair amount of actual reporting for my magazine columns lately. But I should be able to blog while doing that.

Anyway, I’m not even going to try excuse No. 3—that the Champions League final is on TV right now. The posts will begin flowing again this afternoon. Wait, wait: Goal Barcelona!!!!

Stocks Rally Further in Run-up to EU Summit

MOSCOW — Global stocks enjoyed one of their best days in weeks on Tuesday ahead of a summit of European leaders that’s expected to be dominated by calls to boost economic growth.

Europe remains the focus of attention across all financial markets in the run-up to the June 17 Greek election that could go a long way to determining the country’s membership of the euro as well as the future of the single currency zone.

Long time reader, first post, dont feel too bad about blogging frequency. I would rather journalists/columnists blog about something after thinking it through (like you guys do…) instead of blogging for the sake of it.

Even in the last 7 days you’ve (collectively) put up 8 posts, a bad week is still a post a day on average? That’s pretty good considering the depth that goes into these posts. Especially since your first priority is writing for the magazine.
