DSK to the IMF

The European Union’s finance ministers want to send former French finance minister Dominique Strauss-Kahn to Washington to run the International Monetary Fund. The way people get picked for these jobs is really, really silly, and in the end I can’t claim to care all that much who’s in charge at the IMF. But Strauss-Kahn is an impressive guy, with a lefty-but-capitalist approach that seems to suit the times well. Most importantly, he likes to go by the acronym DSK. And the thought of an acronymous boss at one of the world’s most famous acronymous organizations is just, well, TGFW (too great for words)!

DSK is also a blogger, and I really hope he keeps that up at the IMF. Maybe he could even write a few posts in English.

Spain’s Prime Minister Warns Country Is in Danger of Being Shut Out of Markets

“Right now there is a serious risk that (investors) will not lend us money or they will do so at an astronomical rate,” Mariano Rajoy told Spanish lawmakers.

Seen his modern understanding of today’s Economics and Finance, his open Political Vision and his Charisma, I believe that DSK is the best suited to lead IMF’s transition and make it a credible institution in the World.
